# Billing

> Which calls are billable and how you pay.

Pay as you go: no subscription fee and no minimum. Lookups are free, and you're billed only for successful data calls.

| `find`, `catalog`, `connected` | `records` (each page), `summary`, `history`, `search` (each page with results) |

Never billed: errors, `not_found`, searches with no matches, timeouts, rate-limited calls and replays with the same `Idempotency-Key`.

Current prices are shown in the [developer portal](https://portal.quoindata.com). Each response's `X-Quoin-Charged-Micro-USD` header shows what that call cost.

## How you pay

1. New accounts get welcome credit, used before anything is charged. It doesn't expire.
2. When credit runs out, billable calls return `402 insufficient_balance` until you add a payment method. Free calls keep working.
3. With a payment method saved, usage is invoiced monthly.

Manage your payment method and download invoices under **Billing** in the portal.
