# Data coverage

**Entity kinds.** `tax_account`, `parcel`, `address`, `unit`. `building` and `land_interest` are accepted as inputs but have no records in the current publication.

**Lifecycle.** Every entity and edge has `status` `current`, `retired` or `superseded`. Retired identifiers are excluded from resolution unless `include_retired_identifiers` is set.

**Precision.** `exact` is an official one-to-one link. `contextual` means the link came through a shared parent such as a building address and is useful context, not identity. `ambiguous` means several records fit.

**Generations and publications.** `generation_id` identifies the identity build a record belongs to; cursors are bound to it. Data is refreshed as a whole publication, and a failed refresh leaves the previous publication serving.

**What the data is not.** CAMA sale history is assessor data, not a chain of title. Permits are not proof of completed work. A license at a premise is not proof of ownership or occupancy. The API returns no title conclusions, appraisal opinions, lien priority, debt balances, lease terms, NOI or credit decisions.

**Coordinates.** `location` is a consistent DOB permit point linked by exact SSL, with source evidence. Absent or conflicting points remain null; radius searches exclude them. Locations are WGS84 latitude/longitude and are not parcel centroids. In the September 15 verification, 106,635 property accounts had a consistent point.

**Characteristics.** Current CAMA profiles expose bedrooms, condition, and retained assessment attributes with evidence. Historical `as_of` remains unavailable. Gross area uses `GBA` with a `LIVING_GBA` fallback; living area uses `LIVING_GBA`. Neither is a verified finished-space measurement. Missing permit cost and completion fields remain unavailable.
